Food has no moral value. There are no "good" or "bad" foods. There is food that is lower calorie and nutrient dense, and there is food that is higher calorie and low in nutrients.
There are foods that are more supportive of your physical health and there are foods that are decadent, celebratory, and instill feelings of nostalgia.
The foods that you choose to eat don't make you good or bad. Diet culture has created this divisive mentality to "motivate" dieters to stick to restrictive diets. Unfortunately it's
impossible to sustain a highly restrictive diet. Deprivation leads to over indulgence. If something is off limits it becomes 10 times more appealing. When you inevitably slip and indulge, the feelings of guilt and remorse that follow will often result in the beginning of another period of restriction.
Breaking this mentality can be incredibly
difficult. With practice you can develop a healthy, neutral relationship with food that is free from judgment of food and of yourself for how you choose to eat.
Choosing an intuitive moderate approach can heal your relationship with food. Learning how to trust in your ability to choose nourishing foods while enjoying everything in moderation
will lead to food freedom.
The Moderation 365 program is designed to help you ditch dieting forever and heal your relationship with food. I'll be starting up 12 week group program in September.
